6th Steering Committee Meeting at Sobadam Piyasa, Battaramulla
The 6th Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting of the Ecosystem Conservation and Management Project was held on 11th September 2018, at the “Sobadam Piyasa” Conference Room in Battaramulla. The PSC meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Anura Dissanayake, the Secretary of the Ministry of Mahaweli Development and Environment (MoMDE). The Project Director made the presentation on the Action Plan for 2018.
Nature-Based Tourism Planning Meeting – Bundala National Park
A Nature-Based Tourism Planning Meeting was held in view of implementing nature-based tourism strategies for Bundala National Park on August 1, 2018, at the Saptha Parisara Mandapaya in Battaramulla. Nature-based tourism planning meeting: Sinharaja Forest Reserve
In view of enhancing the quality of nature-based tourism opportunities in Sinharaja Forest Reserve Complex, a Nature-based tourism planning meeting was held on 31st July 2018 at ESCAMP. Participants comprised of Officers from the Forest Department, World Bank, and personnel attached to the hotel industry. The Meeting was conducted by Sustainable Tourism Consultant Matthew Humke of US.
