The 6th Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting of the Ecosystem Conservation and Management Project was held on 11th September 2018, at the “Sobadam Piyasa” Conference Room in Battaramulla.
The PSC meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Anura Dissanayake, the Secretary of the Ministry of Mahaweli Development and Environment (MoMDE). The Project Director made the presentation on the Action Plan for 2018. Conservator of Forests, Planning & Monitoring made a presentation on the progress of the activities undertaken by the Forest Department; and the Deputy Director Planning of the Department of Wildlife made a presentation on the progress of the activities implemented by their Department. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the progress of project activities, check the status of pending issues and prepare for the smooth implementation of the work plan.
