The third Implementation Support Mission on the Ecosystem Conservation and Management Project (ESCAMP) is fielded by the World Bank from 15 – 29 November, 2017.
The Mission team lead by the Task Team Leader Ms. Darshani De Silva met and had discussions with Mr. Anura Dissanayake the Secretary for the Ministry of Mahaweli Development & Environment, the Project Director of ESCAMP Mr. Anura De Silva, representatives of the project implementing agencies and the senior staff members of the ESCAMP Project Management Unit.
The main purpose of this mission is to observe the current progress of the project and to ensure whether the agreed-upon actions/milestones have been achieved. The World Bank Task Team shall be providing expert support and assistance to enhance performance and strengthen capacity of the project team and implementing agencies.
