A Training Workshop on Monitoring and Supervision of Environmental and Social Safeguard Aspects of ESCAMP Officers was conducted on the 05th of April 2018 at the Peacock Beach Hotel, in Hambanthota. Attendees comprised of field based Protected Area Managers of the Department of Wildlife Conservation from Galoya, Udawalawe, Lunugamwehera, Yala and Bundala National Parks.
The objective of this workshop was to make the Officers attached to the Department of Wildlife Conservation aware of the Social and Environment Safeguard Aspects of ESCAMP, and also provide training for monitoring and supervision of safeguard implementation. The training component of the workshop was conducted by the Environmental and Social Safeguard Specialist, and the Environment officer of ESCAMP.
