A training workshop on Micro Plans & Proposal Writing was conducted on the 5th and 6th of March 2018 at the Community Education Centre in Malabe, for the park wardens and community outreach officers attached to the Department of Wildlife. Around 30 participants from Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Uwa, Southern, Eastern, Wayamba and Puttlam divisions attended the workshop.
The objectives of this workshop were to create awareness on formulating micro plans for the villages adjacent to the national parks; provide training on project proposal writing and sustainable use of natural resources for livelihood enhancement. Training was led by Mr. Dunston Fernando, the Community Development Consultant of ESCAMP.
